Hunter Island Press Printmakers are working on a collaborative project with members of the Eastern Shore Writers to produce a book as part of the Tasmaniain Living Writers Week. An initative of Arts at Work and Arts Tasmania, the writers week is to be run on alternate years to the very successful Living Artists Week.
The collaborative project, “Nonsense” will be on show at Fullers Bookshop between Friday the 11th of August and Sunday the 20th of August. The bookshop is located at 140 Collins Street, Hobart.

“Field of Plenty” is the title of Damon’s superb exhibition currently showing at the Fine Arts Gallery in Sandy Bay. I doubt it will be up long, so if you can get there on Monday you will be pleased to have made it as it is a truly superb exhibition. The volume of the work is daunting with three walls covered in collagraph prints - stretching from floor to ceiling. The atmosphere is quite serene but with plenty of mystery and intensity that can be responded to in various ways - perhps according to your mood.
Fabulous show, and hopefully we will have more of his work from the exhibition to show soon! Damon is currently completing his masters degree at the University of Tasmania.
