Mini Print exhibition wrap up
Thursday, July 6th, 2006
The annual mini print sale and exhibition closed on the 25th of June and was deemed by all to be a great success. Although the sale of 160 prints was a little less than last year it was good for the location and shows that people will travel “over the bridge” if the incentive is right. A good number of sales went to people who had purchased work at last years exhibition and shows that our member’s work is already developing a following. If you haven’t yet done so you might like to look at the images of work in the gallery.
The co-ordinator of the council operated gallery also remarked on the number of council staff who visited (many for the first time) and stayed to purchase work. All of this augers well for our move to Clarence later in the year.
Our next exhibition will be the annual members exhibition at the Salamanca Arts Centre’s Sidesapce gallery in late November.
