Burnie Print Prize 2007

The Burnie City Council and the Burnie Regional Art Gallery have begun calling for entires for the 2007 Print Prize. This is an aquisitive award and there are also funds available for purchasing works to add to their collection of prints. The gallery has a dedicated section for printmaking, showing great initiative! The council website explains that “The aim has been to acquire the finest examples available in the fields of drawing, photography, watercolour and gouache painting as well as printmaking. The collection now contains about 1000 artworks, over half of which are prints - etchings, lithographs, screenprints etc.” which they display on a rotational basis.
