The members exhibition is warming up to be a fabulous event with 28 people exhibiting framed works. Friday the 1st of December at 6pm is the official opening night, continuing until Monday the 11th of December, but you can visit the exhibition from Wednesday 29th November if you in the vicinity of the Sidespace Gallery, Salamanca Arts Centre, Hobart. Hunter Island Press members will be present at the gallery during the opening hours of 10am – 4pm daily.

There are two printmakers heading for assessment at the honours level this year. Their work will be on show at the Plimsoll Gallery along with other students completing their honours year.
Toni Ten Bensel has been working extensively with polymer lithography plates, digital and other traditional printmaking techniques to produce complex layers in her work. Exploring family relationships, the complexity of her method reflects the complexity of her subject.
Suzi Tyson works primarily with etching and drypoint. Concerned with the tactile and emotive meeting of the ocean and the sand, her work reflects the colour and light you find at such a junction.
The honours exhibition has an opening night from 6pm, Friday November 24 and the show continues on Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 November from 10am to 4pm at the Plimsoll Gallery, Hunter Street, Hobart.
