Fauzi invite

Fauzi, as we all know him, has been studying in Tasmania to complete his PHD. The title of his work, “Colour, Space and Environment: an investigation of repitition through the aestheticisation of consumer culture” gives a strong clue to the impressive scale and imapct of his work.

Taking up most of the Plimsoll Gallery (University of Tasmania, Hunter Street, Hobart) the exhibition is only on show for two days. The opening is on Friday night and you can have a browse through the rooms filled with bright, confronting, undeniable and poignant reminders of the consumer society we live in and its environmental imapact.

The opening is at 5.30pm, and the gallery is open from 12pm to 5pm.

Members Exhibition Opening

Saturday, December 2nd, 2006

Hunter Island Press president John Ingleton did the honours of opening the members exhibition last night to a fantastic crowd of art lovers.

I took a few photos of the gallery in a quiet moment, just give a glimpse of the exhibition.

The quality of work at the exhibition was great

It was a good time for all who ventured out, and a big thanks to all the helpers and organisers who made the event run smoothly.
