Fauzi invite

Fauzi, as we all know him, has been studying in Tasmania to complete his PHD. The title of his work, “Colour, Space and Environment: an investigation of repitition through the aestheticisation of consumer culture” gives a strong clue to the impressive scale and imapct of his work.

Taking up most of the Plimsoll Gallery (University of Tasmania, Hunter Street, Hobart) the exhibition is only on show for two days. The opening is on Friday night and you can have a browse through the rooms filled with bright, confronting, undeniable and poignant reminders of the consumer society we live in and its environmental imapact.

The opening is at 5.30pm, and the gallery is open from 12pm to 5pm.

Images of Tasmania exhibition invitation

The Images of Tasmania Exhibition has become a must see for the Tasmanian art scene. With over 45 Tasmanian artists with work ranging from sculpture to jewellery to prints the exhibition promises to have something to suit everyones taste!

Opening on the 18th of December, the galleries are open daily from 10am to 6pm (except Christmas day) and continues until January 4th. There are quite a few Hunter Island Press members exhibiting, so I think it’s well worth having a look at!
