Another Quartet
Quartet: Four Tasmanian Printmakers, is an exciting exhibition of contemporary work by four local print artists which runs from the 2nd to the 25th of February at the Schoolhouse Gallery, Rosny Historic Centre. The works cover the whole gamut of printmaking techniques and provide a fascinating overview of the possibilities inherent in this art form. Unfortunately I did not manage to get a catalogue so do not have titles for the following images but if you are interested in contemporary printmaking make sure you make the time to visit this show.

Yvonne Rees-Pagh - one of three large multi panel, multi medium pieces

Suzi Tyson - evocations of tidal flats are inspiring

Simone Pfister - one of many delicate cocoons created from lithographic prints

Christine Scott - a large linocut resulting from her recent travels to Japan (unfortunately my photo does not do it justice)
Hopefully this is just enough to wet your appetite.
