Belinda Fox Workshop Underway
Today the Belinda Fox workshop got underway for the lucky twelve participants. Belinda has had extensive printmaking experience as the workshop manager and senior printer for Port Jackson Press Australia for six years and has worked with some of Australia’s leading artists, including John Olsen and Dorothy Napandardi. The workshop is being held at the Uiversity of Tasmania, which had the necessary facilities for the course, over two weekends.
The participants started right back at square one with new ways of approaching the preparation of plates. It is always good news to find alternatives to using toxic substances for for these processes and on the first day we learnt that soy sauce acts as an efficient plate degreaser. Belinda Fox not only produces superb work, she is also very experienced in printmaking techniques. Belinda has a website with plentyof examples of her work and some PDF’s of her writing.
