1st Workshop
Our first workshop in the temporary studio (a one day refresher course) was a great success. Five members got together to work through the processes of intaglio printing using copper, steel, aluminium and cardboard plates in single and multiple layers. It was also a good chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones in a typical printmakers working environment.

It was also the official opening of the redeveloped Wirksworth House which houses part of the Department of Economic Development and the Institute of Sport so we had the opportunity to escort the Minister for Community Development, Michelle O’Byrne around our existing premises and explain our plans for the future. The stage two redevelopment is well into the planning stage and we are hopeful for a reasonably early completion date.
We are expecting to run another workshop in January so if you are interested make sure you contact me to let me know. The setup in the studio is perfect for making mini-prints so if you are planning to take part in the Sydney mini-print project this could be a way for you to get your work together.

Great to hear that something is happening at the studio. I am sure lots of us would be interested in attending future workshops, I am one of them.

Loved the workshop on Dec.1. Looking forward to working at the premises, and any future workshops.
