Meadowbank 2
Saturday 12 July was a big day for HIP and all it’s members - it was the day we launched the first in a series of limited edition boxed sets of prints in association with Meadowbank Wines.
There are ten prints in each box and only ten sets plus an A/P and P/P have been produced. The works were chosen from submissions by 19 HIP members by Helen Wright, David Keeling and Ainstie Wagner.
The beautifully embossed boxes were produced by book artist and HIP member, Leonie Oakes
and the insert was a joint effort of Christine Scott and John Ingleton
Each print is individually wrapped in a sleeve of Kozo paper with a colophon giving full details of the image and the artist’s rationale
The launch of the boxed set and the opening of the accompanying exhibition took place in the dining area at Meadowbank Estate at the foot of the stairs leading up to the Tower Gallery.

where guests enjoyed tea and coffee while listening to comments by representatives of HIP, Meadowbank, Clarence Council and AbaF
and the project was launched by acting State Manager for AbaF, Hayley Horton

But of course everyone was anxious to get to the gallery and see the boxed set and prints
It was a little crowded at first but everyone made the most of the opportunity to catch up with friends
and discuss the work

The exhibition continues until August 5 and prints or boxed sets can be purchased through the Meadowbank Estate shop.
