Haiga for Living Writer’s Week
Thanks to the efforts of Carolyn Canty (HIP) and Lyn Reeves (Pardalote Press) the Haiga exhibition is now set up in the foyer of the library at Rosny and will remain in place until August 24
All in all there are 34 DL size prints by 17 printmakers interpreting the words of 11 writers
Images are printed in both landscape and portrait format
with remarkable variations in mediums and styles, as one would expect from such a diverse group of printmakers as those that make up the membership of Hunter Island Press
Each artist has printed an edition of ten of which one has been presented to the writer of the text (feeback from writers has been full of praise and amazement at the results of this collaborative process
Prints are available for sale at $30 each from this website or through Pardalote Press www.pardalote.com.au
As a bonus, Lyn expects to take the exhibition to NSW in 2009 for the National Haiku conference
