Upcoming examination exhibition – Linden Langdon

You are invited to celebrate Linden Langdon’s exhibition opening for her Master’s assessment – come along and show your support!

Linden Langdon – Master of Fine Art – “Revealing Scars”, Plimsoll Gallery, School of Art, UTAS, Hunter Street – Friday 26 June 2009, 5.30pm (plus 27-28 June, 12-5pm).

A personal note from Linden’s website:

“Well finally the end of the race is in sight and while there are no ribbons to burst through it will be a celebration of completion, so if you are in the area I hope you have an opportunity to pop into the Plimsoll Gallery…There will be an installation of ceramic work, Beneath the Skin and an installation of the Precipice which has over 80 prints at 59 x 59cm in size. The prints are primarily etching with quite a few combining lithograph and etching. The support work will be in my studio space.

So there it is! An ending – or a beginning?”

Let’s all celebrate with Linden and enjoy the atmosphere of her relief, with the Masters journey behind her.

Upcoming member exhibitions – Fiona Fraser, Elaine Bold & Leonie Oakes

You are invited to two exhibition openings by members who have sweated over imaging and documenting ideas about art – so come along and give them your support.

Fiona Fraser – Master of Art Design and Environment – Plimsoll Gallery – Friday 12 July, 5.30pm (plus 13-14 July, 12-5pm).

Elaine Bold – Master of Fine Art and Design – Plimsoll Gallery – Friday 12 July, 5.30pm (plus 13-14 July, 12-5pm) … plus four other Masters candidates so it will be a great show.

And

Leonie Oakes – Master of Fine Art – Plimsoll Gallery – Friday 26 June, 5.30pm (plus 27-28 June, 12-5pm).

Let’s wish them all the best of luck for a fine result, after many many hours (years) of hard work.
