Waterhouse prizewinner
Tuesday, July 27th, 2010
Congratulations to Kaye Green for her win in the works on paper section of the prestigeous Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize (http://thewaterhouse.com.au/page/default.asp?site=1&page=home) .
Kaye’s lithograph titled, The tree as traveller – trees I have known, is part of a series of works published at the Tamarind workshop in New Mexico during her residency in 2009.
Congratulation also to Hobart printmaker, Linden Langdon who was also a finalist in this section.
Closer to home, HIP printmaker Diane Foster was the winner of the Mayors Award at the Clarence Open art competition at the Rosny Schoolhouse gallery
All of these are fine examples of the work being done by Tasmanian print artists and part of the reason for the establishment for the HIP professional public access print studio – keep up the good work.
