Angela O’Brien–Malone
Angela O’Brien-Malone is a print artist, painter and printmaker. Her imagery is drawn largely from the imaginative world, particularly that part which dwells at the edge of her consciousness. Angela has developed several methods of accessing her imagery, including dreams, daydreams and other unconscious processes. For instance, she often works with her eyes closed or in the dark and she actively uses the borderlands of sleep as a place and time to ‘dream’ the images.
Recently, Angela has been engaged in a project called The Drawing Experiment an almost daily practice of intensive drawing that has resulted in the images to be shown at her November 2009 exhibition.
Images of drawings, paintings and prints from other exhibitions are available for viewing on Angela’s website.
